We all are facing this pandemic situation bravely with all the negativity that surrounds us. We all get bored somewhere from all the instructions to follow — being at home, social distancing, and every other instruction.

We become shiftless because of our daily routine. People who are doing work from home, they are overloaded with work. Others, who are into businesses, are trying to find out ways for income.

In all of this struggle of waiting for life to get on track, we all are forgetting a very important person to care for, as we are very busy in our mind to figure out our life while doing nothing but cursing the time.

The person who is craving for your care, love, and romance is — YOU.

We ignore our own selves while following the instruction of others. We tried our best to fulfill others’ expectations.

Do you want to get your power back? Do you really want to get that lifelong romance, which will give you the immense power to unlock your capabilities?

“Practice self-rescue first before you ‘help’ someone else.” — Maureen Joyce Conolly.

If we are asked, do we care about ourselves? Yes, of course, will be the answer. But, if we are asked about the ways, how we take care of ourselves in this situation, we will all be stuck in this question.

Following are the different misconceptions about self-care we all have:

We have lots of misconception about self-care, about 70% of the total population make some lame excuse to avoid this important aspect of life are as follows:

  • Self-care needs lots of money to be invested in gyms, spa, yoga, etc.
  • We need to have lots of time to get involved in a good self-care regime.
  • Some people think self-care is about being selfish by choosing ourselves over others.
  • Some people think self-care is the practice to soothe them, so they get involved in gaming, watching series, just to feel good.
  • Some people think self-care is just for females. For a specific age group, and sexuality.

Self-care is for everyone, we all need to care for ourselves, as it serves the benefits in every sector of our life, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social self-care.

Certain proven tips, I am using in my self-care routine, which can be helpful in coping up with the situation:

  • Perform gratitude in the morning for things like breathing, being alive, and ask the universe to be there throughout the day.
  • Practice meditation, for about 30 minutes, after completing the daily hygiene routine.
  • Do scripting about your feelings, and the way you want your day should go.
  • Perform your daily task.
  • Join some groups to socialize, as we all are locked at home and need people to share ideas and feelings.
  • Sign up for online classes to brush up your skills.
  • Plan a virtual coffee date, trust me it feels amazing and helps in making your connection strong.
  • Create a hobby such as gardening, painting, dancing, or writing, which helps you to release your thoughts.
  • Practice yoga and workout in your daily routine.
  • Make a daily list of things that you are grateful for, every night before sleeping.
  • It is very important to finish your daily task, which will improve your self will.
  • Write daily affirmations, that help you to maintain your focus on self and your purpose.
  • Indulge in different games with your family.
  • Do cry, if you feel so. Encourage yourself to laugh out loud with good memories.
  • Sing along your favorite song with expressions.
  • Clean your workplace, decorate your house with some scented candles.
  • Cherish yourselves by appreciating you.
  • Help people by motivating them to cope up with this pandemic situation
  • To keep you healthy and safe, do sanitize, wash your hands, maintain social-distancing.

These are some tips I found useful. I am sure, you too discover some crazy ideas of self-care. Let me know in the comments.

Keep smiling, social distancing doesn’t mean mind distancing. We can always help others by creating a sense of care. Be in the best relationship with yourself and with others.

Thank you.
